Community Based Inclusive Development Organization (CBIDO)
Community Based Inclusive Development Organization (CBIDO) is a non-governmental organization under the Anglican Church of Tanzania – Diocese of Kagera. Its interventions focus on persons with disabilities under the age of 25.
Since January 2019, CBIDO has been implementing programmes in the areas of disability prevention, comprehensive healthcare, inclusive education and socio-economic empowerment of persons with disabilities (PWDs), their caregivers and communities.
Through these interventions, CBIDO seeks to contribute to improved quality of life, greater participation and stronger inclusion of children and young persons with disabilities within their families, communities and wider society.

Key Strategies
Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Pamoja Program
CBIDO offers the Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Pamoja Program (DPRPP) in collaboration with government authorities and communities.
Advocacy for Inclusion
CBIDO advocates for inclusion and improved conditions for children and young persons with disabilities.
Capacity Development
CBIDO supports capacity development of children and young persons with disabilities and their caregivers in collaboration with other stakeholders.
Working With Communities and Stakeholders
CBIDO implements its programmes in collaboration with government authorities, communities and other stakeholders. This collaborative approach strengthens disability prevention, rehabilitation, inclusion, healthcare, education and socio-economic empowerment.
Through partnership and community participation, CBIDO works towards creating conditions in which children and young persons with disabilities can participate meaningfully in family, educational, social and economic life.
