Development board
This board consists of selected members by Diocesan Bishop, with representative members from every area of operation (Ngara, Karagwe and Kyerwa). Main duties of this board is to review and implement diocese strategic plan and synod agreed decision. The board authority cuts across all departments, programs and management but it works under Bishop’s Supervision, the board meeting held once per year or any time as proposed by Bishop and senior management. Some of board decisions may be investment, resolutions, peoples’ welfare, policy implementation and synod plans execution. Comprised of representatives with different profession and experience like church leaders, head of departments, retired officers and lay leaders
Finance, administration and projects board
Has responsibilities of assuring all financial and diocesan property guidelines and policies are adhered. May take legal/discipline procedures when policies violated. Diocesan Bishop, General Secretary and Diocesan Accountant are members of this board by their title with other 4 members. The board has power over Diocese General Account finances, prepares financial plan as approved by Synod and diocesan council, and support auditing of every fund resource of different diocesan activities
Pastoral ministry board
The board comprised of appointed members by the Bishop but works under Vicar General and responsible to Diocesan Council. The board supervises evangelism activities and has authority to plan, advice and implement evangelism ministry of the diocese. Currently the board has 9 members categorically Vicar General, Principal of Kagera Christian Theological College (KCTC), experienced pastors and lay people experienced in pastoral ministry
The board has the following responsibilities:
· Plan and implement pastoral ministry in the diocese
· Plan and conduct conventions in the diocese of Kagera
· To give advice to the Vicar General prior to the formation of new mission centers
· To offer advice to the Vicar General on implementation and protection of Christian values
· Arrange and conduct spiritual meeting
· To recommend and advise the bishop on the election and appointment of the new rural deans enthronement
· To carry out pastoral duties as may be prescribed by Diocesan Synod
· To ensure the availability and proper use of pastoral clothing, vessels and equipment for holy communion
· To coordinate and organize Christian morals and upbringing for lay people and pastors
· To coordinate and plan upbringing of youth in schools (UKWATA) and churches (TAYO)
· Arrange and coordinate youth meeting, camps and completions
· Planning and coordinating the distribution of Christian scriptures
· Mission and evangelism using modern technologies like movies, video tapes and others
